This tool will "UPdate EQuipment ACcounting Interactively" and is set up for a GLACCOUNT consisting of COSTCENTER and ACCOUNT components. It's easily modified to handle any GLACCOUNT structure.
While not actually a "hack", this report is an embellishment of the equipment hierarchy report provided with Maximo by PSDI. It will print an indented equipment hierarchy, up to ten levels deep, starting with the the equipment number that you specify.
Again, not exactly a "hack", but an embellished report to list the failure class hierarchies.
